Re: This & That....A Layman\'s Long Range Rifle?

BTW, Tom and Darryl

I don't pretend to know half of what you guys
know in this Long Range Sport. But I don't
appreciate somebody coming to a conclusion about me without reading correctly what I said
The other poster just proved that you
are also wrong in that you can get 3,300 fps
in a 300 win mag.

Shame on you.

Since you have thown a little dirt on my good
name I'm sure if you're REAL MEN you will
follow up on my charachter references. I
expect a phone call or mail.

I came to this board not to get nitpicked.

Len, if it happens again, You can remove me
from the board. I don't want to have to put up with people that can't read or slander
my charachter.

Darryl
I posted then read what you said, I'm Sorry
for the confusion, I thought you
were agreeing with Tom H. He claimed I
was telling tales. Then says he is going
to pull himself?
Anyway in cyberspace it can happen.

Thanks so much for your reply!
I may not post much on this board but
I can assure you I'm on the sidelines
reading or soaking up a lot of good stuff.

I will call you, monday.
Bob

Bob

Forget my last post (I edited it out) after the one you wrote to Tom and myself.

Apology here too if you saw it.

Your next very cordual and understanding post came in before I got that edited post on and I was still typing it.

Cyber conversations can get turned around the wrong way sometimes.

Re: This & That....A Layman\'s Long Range Rifle?

For the money I have been very pleased with a magnum research group - sako action, hs stock, kreigoff barrel - in 300. I carry this rifle too. There are quite a few non carbon barrled models left in shops if you look around for a heck of a good deal(7-900). Got mine in Austin. It is a tack driver, I have grown to really depend on this gun. I have others, but when it really matters I usually grab this one.

Re: This & That....A Layman\'s Long Range Rifle?

Personally, I prefer the 300win. A hunting partner of mine recently purchased a 300ultra mag and I can honestly say my 300 is a pleasure to shoot after firing his ultra a few times. These may be out of your price range but if you want a superior longrange basher, look at the Lazzeroni 30 calibers. No 30 on the market can touch these guys for sheer velocity and downrange energy.A guy would defenitly have to reload, shells range from 80 to 100 bucks a box
