Excellent!!! Here in Mt we can buy ours the 31st we only get to tag 75 though. I heard through the grape vine that FWP wanted a much higher number but they ended up going way conservative on the quota. I'm going to be in line the morning of the 31st.
I was gathering info last week on pack locations, talked to one guy I know and he had just lost 11 bred cows, not a bit eaten just the front shoulders jerked apart. Another friend also lost 49 sheep rams last week also nothing eaten. The pups are practicing to be full blown killers right now. Ranchers really perk up when you say you only need to be inside a 1000yds to start shootn. Around here the bounty is unofficially back!

is their a season for them in Wyoming? i will be going out their next week for a week of just long range shooting. sure would be fun to pop a few of them. i know they are their because i ran across them when i deer hunt out their in OCT.

I've been in a couple meeting with some of the wolf guys and they have been very careful in meeting all the concerns that caused the last relisting, I think they have done a good job. All the wolf tags sales will help as that will help replace the lost Fed funding which FWP can cite as proof they can sustain the management that the people in the middle ground want to see.
I wish that everyone could witness first hand what the wolves have done to the wildlife here, we used to have the best moose area in the state and this year I have yet to see a single moose where I used to see 10-15 any time of the day.
Not to mention the sheep and beef kills. I used to track and see the wolves that we had native to this area and they are not the same wolf that has been forced on us from Canada.
I really hope this goes good then maybe the griz will be next

No, Wyo plan is the best plan but the Fed did not like it. Shoot on sight.
The Wyo plan was more popular here but the FWP figured it wouldn't fly so they distance themselves from it.
