Like I said I would try to find a sendero in one, but I would not hesitate buying one in a savage. Savage may not be the most glamorous rifles but I have never met one that wasn't a shooter

    Savage is making a 116 300 rum with their first hinged floorplate mag for 2006!!!!

    You'll be happy with either. But, I'd go buy a used one, send it to Kirby Allen, have him "Allenize" it with the aid of a nice Lilja bbl., then go have fun. I've used Kirby for one rifle and he does exceptional work. I'm very pleased with my Remington rifle he built.

    Savage all make The Ultra's.

    I have picked up around 2 dozen of these rifles and I like the Remington LSS's the best. All are absolutly awesome!
