I survived my Alaska Bear Hunt Trip

What a fantastic trip.
We had 7 days in the field after being dropped off by our pilot.
I shot my bear on our first legal day of hunting at 10:05 pm. Lots of daylight that far north. My bear went around 6'-8" with a 18 1/4" skull.
My buddy filled his tag as well...shooting a beautiful dry sow that was around 5' -8" with a 16 1/2" skull.
Alaska is more beautiful, rugged and prestine than imaginable.
Here's a few photo's.
A beautiful coastal town we visited.

Some of the flight into the spot.

My buddies sow.

Re: I survived my Alaska Bear Hunt Trip

Looking at those mountains gave a lump in my throat. I am doing a DIY hunt for elk in the Colorado Rockys this fall and I am out of mountain hunting shape right now. I am going to start working out ASAP. That terrain must have been challenging to say the least.
