HS Precision Stock?
I have a rem 700 la stock from hs precision and I was wanting to put it on my christensen arms. The only problem is the carbon fiber barrel wont fit. Can I have a gunsmith ream it out to make it fit or will it ruin the stocks forearm support? It shoots great with the stock remington plastic stock thats free floated but im worried from different positions/ rests on the forearm will make it touch the barrel and ruin accuracy.
Thanks

Re: HS Precision Stock?
Have you called HS Precision? When I lived in Rapid City I took my HS Precision stock to them for some work and they did it while I waited and didn't charge me. It seems you could just give them the size of the barrel and they will fix it.

Re: HS Precision Stock?
I called them and they said I should sell the one I have and buy a new one with the varmint forearm. They said the forearm is too small to accept the larger size barrel. It sure seems big enough? O well anyone need a stock...? lol

IMO, B&C makes as good of a stock for less $$$. Something to think about...

Re: HS Precision Stock?
I think I might have to have one custom made. I dont really want the large flat forearm contour that fits the same size barrel and I dont want to spend $550! on a christensen arms stock.

Re: HS Precision Stock?
The old style Sendero HS stock (Varmint) does not have a real big flat bottom forearm. It is a little larger than a sporter stock, but not a whole lot. I would give B&C a call and tell them the dimensions of your barrel and see what they say.
