Re: He says he's ready
Many things change over time, but hunting is as old as time itself. It's part of our genetic makeup and I feel sorry for those who miss out on the opportunity to connect with nature, with future generations, with our ancestors, and with the great creator. There is no greater pleasure.

Re: He says he's ready
Too cool, Pryoducks! Mine is sixteen, 6'3" and outshooting me. Makes you proud but hurts a little too (at least the outshooting part!) Congrats too you on getting the boy out there. A good hunting partner in the making!

That is awesome. I have a 3yr old little girl that is the same. I think it is the best thing in the world is getting the oportunity to spend that quality time with the little ones in the woods

Great pic,pyroducks
i can't tell you how much i enjoy it ,when my oldest(14) asks me.when are we going back to the lease or to the shooting range again.it also helps that there are other kids at the lease around the same age for him to hang around with at camp.my oldest likes to talk smack, when he makes a better shot or catches a bigger fish and i LOVE every minute of it.

Re: He says he's ready
I love it! That reminds me of when I took my oldest son with me for the first time. We were sitting in a two-man ladder stand and he was scanning every inch of the woods with my binos. He said, "Daddy! I see a deer.....Or maybe it is a log." And about five minutes later, "Daddy! I see a buck.....Or maybe it is a stick."
We still use those sayings four years later when we think we see something while scouting.
I would not trade time in the woods with my boys for anything!!
