Re: Harris Bipod for Sitting and Prone?

I have the 13"- 27" swiveling model to use when sitting. I am 6' 1" 235lbs and it works well, the 12"- 25" was too short for me. I would suggest trying them a see which is most comfortable for you, just remember that it will be different in the field than at the store or in your living room. And I do prefer the swiveling model with a pod-lock. Go to to get a good deal on the pod-lock, if you get the pod-lock from Harris its $30, same thing from Tnuts $10.

Re: Harris Bipod for Sitting and Prone?

I am 5'9" 145lb
25" is about 2" too high for sitting for me to shoot with my elbows on knees, so the notched leg option is useful, otherwise I guess at where to set the legs.

12" is too high for prone for me.

8" is about right for me for prone on level ground.

So, to do prone and sitting, I need 2 different bipods.
