Handloading basics

Just purchased an arbor press, have someone on this site building a 308 win for me. What size neck die do I need. I usually don't size new brass & have gotten great accuracy with several rifles. the neck sizing insert will size brass is smaller then new brass, but new brass will hold bullet securely. What is the thing to do?

Re: Handloading basics

George with the Lapua brass you are using you will need a .336 or maybe a .338, the best way to tell is load up a dummy roung with pice of brass and the bullet you will use and measure the neck diameter and then subtract .001 or .002" and then that's the size bushing you will need.
