Handloading 35 whelen for longer range

It is late spring and I have finally gotten my hands on some 180-200 grain Nosler ABs, Barnes TTSXs.
I purchased two Remington 750s in 35 whelen in the last 18 months .. One with 18.5" & one in 22" barrels. I use my carbine deer and bear hunting in the NC mtns. and purchased the 22" gun for the longer shots on my out west hunts when I can get them planned.

Last fall I got some good results with the 200gr. BT ABs and wanted to compare the Barnes 180gr. FB TTSX & the 200gr. BT TTSX. I am loading 8208 to 1.5grains below max on all the rounds and plan to zero the loads at 100 yards and then go for 200-300 yards to see which I can get flattest and tightest loadings.

Re: Handloading 35 whelen for longer range

Well here you go. Received boxes of Barnes Vortex 180 TTSX and Hornady Superformance 200 grainers. I have over the past week loaded the TTSX 180 gr. & 200 gr. and Nosler ABs 200 gr. with at least 6 different powders and get at least one flyer in each 2" group. So I purchased the 2 boxes from Midway to see if I get kinda the same results. As you can see from the pic the Barnes are tighter than the Hornady Superformance.
