a less honest man would have called that 600m group a 10 shot group with 5 going thru the big hole in the middle of your plate

Re: To go Improved or not on 338 Lapua

Went to the shooting range today, had with me 10 rounds of Norma brass, 90 grs Vith N570 behind a 300 grs SMK.
Average was 2864 fps, ES was 23 fps. I have not had time to check my brass after this first shooting, but it looked normal.

Precision was very nice, but I want to go down to 89 grs, and see if it gets better.
As long as I'm above 2788 fps (850 m/sek), I'm a happy boy

5 shot group @ 100 meters.
