First Long Range Rifle

What might be some good model choices for an out of the box long range rifle under $1,000?

Re: First Long Range Rifle

Take a look at Savage LRPV, Mod 12 Line, and their Law enforcement line. They have a Mod 12 Target line also.

Never owned one, but considered it at one point. It was when they first came out. I ended up going with the 12VLP. At the time I couldn't afford the FCP. I wanted it though. I currently own a LRPV that I got on a trade.

Re: First Long Range Rifle

Do you think the 24" barrel on the FCP is a drawback for long shots?
