It didnt look like he shot over him to me. It looked like he waited till the cat cleared then shot. Just cause his buddy ducked does't mean he shot over him. I would have ducked too. Pretty easy to sit behind a keybord and call someone a Moron.

Re: Cougar jumps on my brothers while filming the hunt!!

The point is that his brother or anyone else should never have had to duck because the guy shouldn't have been flagging them with the pistol. I wouldn't call him a moron for sure or any other name for that matter. It's probably a learning experience for him after watching that video. You can tell that he didn't shoot over his head but he definitely flagged one person and almost two people. He should have dropped the pistol down until he was clear of the others. But like they say "s$$$ happens".

The guy doing the shooting should have been well forward of the other people in case something unexpected happens (like the cat running all over). I know this is sort of Monday morning quarterbacking but it is what it is. Glad no one got hurt and that is one nice lion.

I bet that will never happen again in a million years, I've been chased around a tree by a wounded bear, not trying to get me but it sure felt like it at the time.....Awesome video!!!

I hate to admit it, but I had to laugh. That was great.

I've shot a few toms, including one that just killed a heifer. I don't think any of them were as large as yours.

Great video. Looked like a good hunt. I want to chase cats someday again. I chased cats two days in Arizona at the end of a black bear hunt but never saw him. The dogs had one treed but it was off the area we were allowed to hunt.
