Click Adjustments

Need your input to settle a disagreement with another shooter on the number of clicks to use to hit a 300 yard target?

Scenario:

Scope Clicks: 1/4 MOA
Drop at 300yds: 10.75
Sighted in at: 100 yds

How many clicks would you use to hit the 300 yard target?

Re: Click Adjustments

At 300-yards each click would equal 3/4" therefor 14 clicks

Re: Click Adjustments

OK, I'll bite. Is this a trick question?

"Sighted in at 100 yards" doesn't mean anything. If the bullet strikes 10.75 inches low at 300 yards, then it would take approximately 14 clicks to bring it up to the target.

Re: Click Adjustments

Not a trick question!

My answer was 13.81 and the other quy was 23! Thanks, I just wanted to be sure my thinking was correct.

Re: Click Adjustments

Best way to settle this is to take him to the range staple a 100 dollar bill out at 300 and tell him if he's closer he gets it if not he owes you a 100
