Re: christian arms

I had one built about 10 years ago, I still have it, wont sell it and wont let you shoot it either LOL seriously I would let you shoot it to try it.

I at the time was stationed in california and was comming home from deployment, I had the cash and wanted to treat myself, it is the best darn coyote rifle period for me that is. it as light as a model seven and shoots like a custom 700 with heavy barrel. it shoots under 1/2" with hand loads and digests winchester over the counter 50gr supremes almost at 1/2 inch.

mine is on a 700 action, timney trigger and 26" barrel chambered in 223 with a 1:12 twist built specifically for coyote hunting, the only other option that comes to mind would be a Ultra Light Arms but they too are about the same price. I would recommend one to anyone however the only thing I dont like is the price. I am a working man and to have 3K to put out on a rifle can sometimes put as strain on the wife, but hey only a lazy man wont find his wife a second job.

not a good picture but its all I got, I also topped this with a old Redfield Tx-27 5.5-20x44.

Re: christian arms

I have one in 300 WSM and it shoots sub MOA, around 3/4 MOA as I remember. It is very pleasant to shoot. I purchased it several years ago for an Elk hunt that I ended up having to cancel. I have not shot it but around 25 times. It is not what I would use for long range, past 400 yard.

I am not going to carry my 14 lb long range rifle in the mountains on a walking hunt either!

For me, it is a special purpose rifle.

Re: christian arms

A hunting buddy of mine had one built on a Browning A-bolt receiver in 300 WM about 8 years ago and it is a tack driver. Cold/Hot it shoots to the same point of impact.

Re: christian arms

I am new to long range shooting. I purchased a Christensen arms 300 ultra mag last year, have fired approxmatly 300 rounds and am extremly happy with it. I find that it has been flawless and recently took a muley at 600 +yds. I had a muzzle break installed which brings the recoil down to that of a 243. I use hand loads with 185 gr burger bullets and shoot 1"groups. Ive been hunting for 50 years , I think this is the last rifle Ill ever need.

Re: christian arms

I purchased a CA 300 rum hunter off the shelf for 2199.00 I have shot 200 rounds thru it it has shot 180 swift sirrocos at 3511 fps ,494 group,200 g swift a frames at 3200 fps .560 group and today i shot 230 gberger hybrids at 3125 and the smallest group was .410 all in a 8lbrifle with a 4x12 leupold scope I cant ask for any more from it,with the factory muzzle brake it kicks like a .243 ,i love it and cant say enough good about it.Im planning on fine tuning the 230 bergers for long range and I think im going to try the bushnell 4.5x30 -50 and a have a dual purpose rifle. I will be buying more from them

Re: christian arms

Same goes for me! The day I got rid of mine in 300wsm, was better than the day that I bought it.
