Are the EGW bases steel or aluminum? Do they take all 4 screws?

Re: BVSS VLP .308 Newbie Questions

This morning a ordered a Ruger KM77VT .308. It's pretty similar to the BVSS. I think it has one in 10 twist.
$579 brand new out the door including rings was too hard to beat. Hopefully it will shoot as good as a Savage!
Thanks for all the replies, guys. Maybe I'll buy a Savage some day.

The palm swell fills up my hand and keeps it relaxed when I'm firing. The VLP doesn't have that and my hand has started to cramp in the past.
