Used my bipod abit yesterday, both off the bench and prone. Its an old harris, their shortest model I beleive and doesn't swivel. I used to use it alot for chucks, quite effectively. I do have another that cants and swivels, name unknown.
Off the bench, I shot 4-5" at 300, but I was messing with my load too so it may not have been the bipod or me. Seemed to be quite abit of jump off the hard surface.
Have a new target butt and metal plate at 750 yds, have to lay in the front yard to get the distance. Couldn't get comfortable in prone. Anyhow how I kinda guessed at the scope settings, changed my load abit. Paint job on the plate is still new.
Will continue to practice. The tripod idea sounds great, but I'm afraid of the extra weight. Then of course there's my pack.
