Best Savage Drop-In
Building a savage and have many manufacturers in mind, but I am just curious if there are any brands that I should steer away from or others that have been known to consistently shoot good...that are reasonably priced?
Its going to be a 28" with a brake. Probably a varmint contour
Thanks!

Re: Best Savage Drop-In
I have a Benchmark, but I know Shilen, Brux, Pac-Nor, Mcgowen, and Lothar Walther all have excellent pre-fits. I'd say take your pick.

Just got my first Brux. I would recommend them to everyone.

Re: Best Savage Drop-In
Have a Lothar Walther that is shooting very, very well! Its a 28" small shank to a taper of .814"
