Factory ammo prices have soared. I noticed yesterday at Gander Mtn that Rem Safari 338 RUM was priced at $99.99 per box. That ammo has been on their shelf for about 3-4 yrs, the boxes are all beat up and the shells are all tarnished for handeling.
I am so glad to be reloading. Yes, our component costs have gone up but its still affordable and better....
I bought a case of shotgun ammo the other day, hopefully enough to make it throuh the rest of the season. I was told that the reason for the increase was the military shooting all the ingredients at the people of Iraq.
