I think Leupolds ballistic reticle only goes to 500yrds. A dot at 100 crosshairs
at 200 and mill dots at 300,400 and 500yrds.and it works great as long as
conditions remain the same or you re,zero under the current conditions.
You must send them very accurate ballistic data for the round to be used.
For normal hunting 100 to 3or 400yrds it works great but at extended
distance the error is to much so I would go with the turrets and develop
a good ballistic table for all yardages to be shot in 25yard increments
or MOA and with windage effects.
I also recomend a scope that has turrets that can be disengaged and turned
to zero once you zero the scope.this way after the shot it is easy to
return to your original zero.
I hope this helps
