AFRICA and my Tikka 270 WSM

South Africa, end of April 2008. All bullets shot clean through but the Blesbok at 400 yards, shot in the hind quarter and traveled all the way up to the chest cavity stopping just under the hide with a perfect mushroom just like the pictures always show. About three feet of penetration, not bad at 400 yards. Even the 1500lb Eland, which only ran 20 yards and fell over within 30 seconds. The PH couldn't believe it. He really liked my gun and used it to shoot several warthogs and three Blue Wildebeest, which all bullets exited on too.
Not super far shots, but just wanted to share.

34" Cape Eland 200 yards 150 grain Barnes TSX

50" Cape Kudu 300 yards 150 grain Barnes TSX

40" Gemsbok 200 yards 150 grain Barnes TSX

24" Impala 250 yards 150 grain Barnes TSX

15" Blesbok 400 yards 150 grain Barnes TSX

It is the T3 lite standard barrel and a Brockman's Brake that you can turn on and off by twisting it. I like it a lot.
