I love my three Weaver Tactical. Personally I feel that are as good a big game scope made for shooting out to at least the 1/2 mile mark.
To my eyes, the Weaver Tactical is at least as clear as the Mk4 Leupolds adn has been extremely accurate on my rifles.
The fact that you can go from 4.5x up to 14 power with the calibration never changing is simply amazing for the big game hunter. This allows you low light shooting, close range shooting and extreme range shooting without adjusting anything in your scope.
IF your looking for an interesting 277 long range bullet, check these out.
The bullets on the left are two 130 gr Ballistic Tips. The two on the right are two 169.5 gr ULDs from Wildcat Bullets. They sport a B.C. of .740!!!
They are built on a tapered jacket for use on big game at long range or up close.
Richard Graves send me some to test in my 270 Allen Mag which drives them to a solid 3300 fps with sub 1/2" groups. Have not been able to test them at long range yet though.
This rifle used a 1-8 twist barrel though so I do not know if they will stabilize in your 270 Win if it has a 1-10 twist.
If you want to try some e-mail me your address and I will ship a dozen down to you so you can test them.
