7 WSM/180 VLDs/ H1000

Anyone shooting a 7 wsm with 180 berger vlds and H1000 powder. I'm looking to get max velocity out of the 180's in a 24 inch hart barrel using H1000.Of course, sub 1/2 moa is always the goal. Any reccomendations?

Your barrel may be too short for H1000. You may be better off with 4350 or R17.

I'm using 66 grains of H1000, but it's not max. I can put 5 shots in a big clover leaf. I got a 25-1/2" barrel, with a Edge brake.

What's your velocity, primer, and seating depth?

The case is WW, primer Federal 215. I don't know the other info. I started at magazine length, and went from there. Try it and see.

My 26" 7WSM shoots the 180s when loaded with H1000 and 2.90" to fit into an AI SA Mag to roughly 2,800 fps.
