Re: 7 mm remington magnum

Some good stuff on this thread. 7RM gets some flack about long stuff because of some of the much larger calibers, but it's a great gun with some of these bullets Berger makes for them now. I have yet to be disappointed.

My load is 69.0 grains of H1000 with a 180 Berger kissing the lands in Win brass and whatever primer I feel like using, usually a 215 or 215M to get a few more fps. My rifle also does very well with 180s and 69.5 grains of retumbo.

Re: 7 mm remington magnum

H1000 and Retumbo both worked very well in my 7RM but Retumbo was best and more accurate. So, like already posted, a match made in heaven. But not really, it was made in my basement and proven at the Middletown gun range.

WW brass, 73.0 gr Retumbo, 168 Berger VLD, .010 off the lands. Rifle is a McMillan, Krieger, 26", Jewel, TAC300 by Stiller built by Dave Bruno.

I pretty much stole brents load. Im trying the 180 hybrids this year on deer first then maybe a late season elk. I also used 70g h1000 with the 168s last year. Me and my dad each took an elk at less than 100 yards. They performed flawlessly.
