Hi Gary. Use the search feature. A ton of loads on the site. Suggest you start w/ H1000. And then try Retumbo. That is John Burns advice. Good luck. Bruce

Re: 7 mm remington magnum

I have been working up a few different loads in my day. 162, 168, and now I bougt some 180 berger target hybrids to try. Everything I have shot with H1000 has been great. Always my first choice for 7RM. Then like stated, retumbo.

I shot a bull elk yesterday with 168gr Berger vld-71 grains of retumbo-WRLM primer-Winchester brass, set .005 off the lands in my browning x bolt 7mm RM. Dropped him on impact. Very accurate load out to 1000 yards and deadly on elk. Thought you might like to hear of a load that works well for me

Forgot to add, the shot was 600 yards, this was the first animal I have shot with bergers or with hand loaded bullets. I'm sold, Berger bullets are excellent!

Re: 7 mm remington magnum

Ive been shooting 168 Berger VLD from HSM. They have been shooting 2" at 200 yards and easily shooting 800 yards out of my Savage LRH. I just killed a buck the other day at 200 yards. The 168 hit the heart and broke ribs then hit lung and out through shoulder breaking it to pieces. Buck went down in 6'. Great Bullet! My wife will be ELK hunting next week with it so we will see what it does on an elk.

First photo entrance.

Second photo is the heart and lung that is shredded!

Third photo shows the exit and shoulder pass through.

I was hesitant about the HSM ammo. Its a little dirty but they have been consistently shooting very accurate and the 168 Berger VLD hands down is my favorite 7mm bullet.
