goodgrouper do you know how many ft lbs it take to break a lope shoulder and if you do what is the maximum range in the 6br tejas to break it? how far would you shoot at a mule deer with this round? miss ya last trip preacher

I guessed about 200 to 250 ft/lbs for the lope so about 900 yards or so in theory. My first shot on the 800+ doe would have smeared her into the dirt.


Mule deer come in many more sizes than antelope. Given good shot placement, a big deer would fold at 400 I would bet.
