Re: 6br antelope kill

Most people don't give little guns the respect they deserve on deer sized game. It amazing how capable hot 22 caliber with heavy bullets and 6 mms are on deer sized game uder 700 yards. I have had more fun hunting deer with fast twist 22 cals than anything. Good shooting Nice Antelope

Re: 6br antelope kill

When I was a youngun my dad hunted antelope out of rawlings. I commented to the rancher that the wind sure blows here. He said well sheet son there aint nothin but the barbed wire to stop it. He was right! Doesn't take much wind to turn things cold. Nice kill no matter what the circumstances were. spooky lopes are hard to hunt add the wind and its near impossible. Thats the thrill of lope hunting tho.

Re: 6br antelope kill

I hear ya Reed.
That was the whole reason why I took the 6br improved. I wanted to show how effective this little round is and how versatile it is. Considering it has been shot at rockchucks around 1500 yards and can kill long range big game, it is amazing a case that only burns 3 grains more powder than my 223 can do all that.

Kinda makes me wonder how many antelope have ever been taken with the 6br. I would bet a scarce few!

Re: 6br antelope kill

gg,
Congratulations!
How do you like those ear muffs?
Are they the electronic king that you can hear without
taking them off? Tell us what brand. Thanks.
An antelope is indeed a small target at that range. Good shot!

Is that a Buck Folding Hunter?

I am surprised the bullet exited. I did not think they had enough jacket to make it through even the leg bone much less a bunch of ribs.

Re: 6br antelope kill

Thanks!

Let's put it this way, I don't shoot rifles, pistols, or shotguns without them!

They are electronic and they shut off under certain decibal levels and amplify everything else.

They are made by Peltor and are the Tac-6 model. Very good company and excellent customer service!

Re: 6br antelope kill

Thank you.

The knife is a Kershaw Wildcat Ridge from about 12 years ago.

Those Bergers really do well on antelope, but I think I will stick to Accubonds for Elk!
