    Re: 6.5x47 Lapua...what you got?

    I've got two.

    Surgeon 591 SA
Krieger 26" 1:8.5 MTU contour (I coated interior with Ultra Bore Coat and have not had to clean barrel in over 900 rds)
    AICS stock
    Shilen 2.5 lbs
    TPS 30mm alum rings
    NF 5.5-22x50 NP-R1 reticle

    Load is as follows

    130 Berger VLD - .010" into lands
    40.8 gr H4350
    CCI 450
Redding Type-S FL Bushing die with .289" bushing
1/2 MOA all day long @ 2850 fps & have over 1300 yds down barrel.

    16 lbs 11 oz

My second built went the other way. Lt Wt LR hunting.

    Pierce SA
    Broughton #3 5C @ 24.5", 1:8 twist
    McMillan Remington Sporter Edge filled
    Rifle Basix @ 2.5 lbs
    Pierce 20 MOA pic rail
    Farrell 30mm aluminum rings
    NF 2.5-10x32mm with NP-R2 reticle

    8 lbs 4 oz

It likes 140 VLD and 140 Part with Rel 17/Fed 205m primer. Same die set. No changes in the die's adjustments. I'm seeing 2950 fps with the VLD and 2850 with the Partition. 1/2 MOA for both.

Between the two rifles, I've got over 2000+ rounds and have NEVER had to trim necks, except when prepping brass.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this round. It's so easy to load for. Their's numerous proven loads on the internet so not much load development will be needed.

Mine does this in a fishtail wind from 600 yds. Will do the same from 800! Bolt head is 1.3". 10 rounds fired. 38.5 Varget with 123 gr. Sierra HPBT, BR-4 primers.

Not much. If any, it's usually the reverse; increases in cold, reduces vel in hot. Weird!
