6.5-284 Shehane?
I have a few questions about this cartridge. 1. What degree is the shoulder angle? 2. What kind of velocities are possible with 130 grain bullets from a 28 inch tube? 3. Is fireforming as simple as shooting a 6.5-284 in a Shehane chamber? Thanks in advance!

Take a look 6mmbr.com. They have the info on the 6.5-284 Shehane. Looks like an impressive round! Good luck.

I did some looking on there and couldn't find anything. Would you mind posting a link?

Re: 6.5-284 Shehane?
It has a 40* shoulder, body taper is moved from .501-.473" to .501-.486", has .166" freebore with a 1* leade for 60mins. This was one of the older prints I saw. Bill Shehane does this to shoot 140 bergers and 142 seirras at 3050fps from a 29 and 30" tube with minimal effort and exceptional case life, is does not have a worthy advantage for a normal shooter using 130s. You cah get 3200+ with 130s in a standard 6.5x284 with a 28" barrel and have good case life.

I would be shooting a combination of 130 and 140 grain bullets. I sent Bill an e-mail.
