Tommy I have a Savage10fp in 223rem with 1-9 twist, that shoots 75Gr.BTHP Hornaday Moly match,with21.0Gr's of AA-2200 at 100yd's in the .1's &.2's one hole 3 shot group's. At 500yd's my best groups average 1.750"Also 68Gr HDY Match loaded with 24Gr's ofIMR4895 shoot about the same degree of auccuracy.I use Win. cases & Rem.#7.5 Benchrest primers. Re: 500 yard load for 223 rem 1 in 9 twist

Tommy- I had trouble stabilizing the 75gr Amax in a 1:9 Twist! I have shot the 75gr Hornady BTHP match and the Hornady 68Gr BTHP match with good success. I actually like the 68gr match better because I can hit deer in the head out to 500yds. I use 25.6 grains of BLC-2 and a CCI450 primer. For the brass Winchester is hard to beat. Good Luck!!!

Tommy as an add on H335 and the 450primer in the Winchester brass for the 50-55gr bullets
is a very good combo for the lighter bullets. I had super success with the 52grBTHP match Hornady and the 52grAmax. I use the heavier bullets because I just load one type of round for chucks and deer. My friends and I have used the 52grBTHP, the 52gr Amax and the 55gr Vmax for deer permits.
They use these lighter bullets in their Remingtons with a 1:12 twist where I use them in areas that are populated and may have to worry about houses in the distance.
