Re: 350gr VLD LAZZERONI 9.53(.375)Saturn®

First 100 yard group out of the New Lazzeroni 9.53 (.375) Saturn rifle today ,,,,, not bad at all ,,,,,,, (4-shots) 3/8" ,,,,

loaded 99gr of reloader 19, federal 215M primer, 350gr Sierra HPBT with NP3 coating (lubrication), seated the ogive of the bullet right against the barrel lands ,,,

corrected velocity for 72 degrees, with 28" barrel would be 2901 fps, right on my target velocity goal ,,,, all this at 65,700 PSI ,,,,, extreme velocity spread for the 4 chronograph ’d shots only 12 fps ,,,,,,,

I will back up to 300 & 500 yards later this month for accuracy testing, with pictures of the rifle etc ,,,, then on to 1,000 yards + ,,,,

What kind of recoil does a monster like that have? I'd love to see a loaded up cartridge if you don't mind posting a pic of one.

Also, can't wait to see the rifle and the longer distance shots.

Paul ,,,,,,,

if you don't overload the case, resize the shoulder back too far or ream primer pockets etc, and anneal necks after every 5 shots or so, brass life for 85% of the cases should be around 15-20 firings ,,,,

finished rifle specs are here with photo, http://www.lazzeroni.com/ct_rifles.htm the L2012LSP-XTLR in the Lazz 9.53 Saturn caliber has a special 3.940" inside length, 3 round mag box, ((see below)) instead of the one shown in the photo on the website ,,,, rifle weight same spec as this rifle on the Lazz website ,,,,

Lazzeroni 9.53 Saturn 1,000 yard ballistics here http://www.lazzeroni.com/ct_lacart.htm ,,,,,

mudrunner ,,,,,
recoil is stout as one would expect, but easy enough to shoot with muzzle brake ,,,, photos of actual cartridge and 3 round mag box below ,,,,,

photo at the bottom of the actual rifle in the raw ,,, prior to metal or stock finish, which is the way I have been shooting it so far ,,,,

the entire Lazz rifle in the 9.53 saturn caliber is the same weight and external dimensions as all Lazzeroni L2012LSP-XTLR rifles ,,,, so at least it is still a medium weight HUNTING rifle that a sane person could carry in the field ,,,,

Those are some very impressive ballistics from a rifle of manageable weight. Looks like it is a shooter as well!

Re: 350gr VLD LAZZERONI 9.53(.375)Saturn®

Finally got the rifle all metal finished, permanent scope mounted and moved back to 300 Yards ,,,,

all I can say is WOW ,,,,,, the LAZZERONI 9.53 Saturn caliber is SIGNIFICANTLY more than even the mighty 338 Lapua, in both trajectory to 1,000 yards and impact energy from point blank range to 1,500+ yards ,,,,

all load data/specs etc is below ,,,, receiver is a standard length Lazzeroni action ,,,, with SEEKINs bottom metal, with 3-round detachable mag box ,,,,,
