338RUM BALISTICS

Just got my Remington Sendero 338RUM and the best Velosity with 225 Nosler AB with 100GR of H-1000 that i could muster out of it was 3050 feet per second, i,d like to hop it up to 3200 feet per second, the gun has 26 inch barrel with muzzle brake, if any one has a good load for 338RUM with 225 Nosler AB bullet please let me know, thanks, Dan.

I'm getting 3060 with 96gr of RL25.(26"Sendero BBL)

I honestly don't think I could get to 3200.(i'm at sea level)

Re: 338RUM BALISTICS

Mine has a 26" ported barrel so figure 24" effective length. With 92 gr IMR 7828SSC and Fed 215 primer in RP brass I am getting 3050 fps with the 225 AB. I could probably get 3100 if I push but it shoots tiny groups now so why mess with it.

Re: 338RUM BALISTICS

Me thinks that's asking a bit much from the RUM w/any length of barrel.

You may wish to at least try 300 SMKs w/US 869. Should out do the 225s out towards the kilometer mark.

Just a thought.
