338 Lapua, Savage 111
Getting about .75 MOA. Think it will do better but still in the break in phase so I am not too worried. RL 22 and 250 Sierras seems to be doing well.

So what scope and rings are you using? How tight did you torque the rings? Nice shooting.

Using a Vortex, Viper 4-12x40 with the ballistic hash marks in Burris Z rings with the plastic inserts. No torque wrench...so all I can say is pretty tight but not tight enough. Might be worth putting a third or fourth ring in.

Those plastic inserts might be your problem. Might want to look into a base that is canted and use a good wide pair of rings. I have used the Burris XTR rings with good success. My cousin used the same rings on his 338 Lapua. Maybe doubling up the Z ring might work. I would add a third ring and torque to 25-30 inch pounds. You don't want to go much more than that.
