3000 yards

has there ever been a 3000 yard shot target shooting ? i watched a supposly video of a 2700 yard shot with a 408 cheytac . but could it be done at a 3000 yards ? with any long range caliber would you need more than 3300 fps ? .i think the 14.5x114mm russain could do it with the right gun and VLd bullet .

what type of scope would you use to have a good fov and that range ?

I believe Kirby drew blood on a chuck at 3k. I think it was a 338 Kahn, or he was out shooting the Kahn then pulled put an AM. Read it a long long time ago. 3k is definetely possible with lathe turned ultra high BC bullets in cases like the cheytec, cheytec imp, and bigger.
