Thanks for the info and I will talk to my son in law. It may be a few months in the process but we would be very interested in renting the reamer if he went that way and from what you describe it sounds like a great setup. Thanks again.

    late chime in i agree with chuck hawks - if the 6.5 06 was available before the 270 win. and 25 06 they may have never been. WITH THAT im a 270 win. hunter and my next hunting rifle will be a 25 06.

    Below are the groups from my 6.5-06. I'd definetly say "this is the load." I'm shooting SIE 142grn SMKs w/H4831SC going at 3100fps. The drop at 800 yards is only 15MOA.
