Re: 243 bullet size

Appreciate that but I love my mountains. It's hard hunting but fun at the same time. Hopefully in the next few months I'll be handloading

Re: 243 bullet size

I tried 95gr Bergers in my 26" long 9.25 twist savage barrel and they would not group. But remember I am testing in low temperatures at low elevation. I can't tell Beelzebubs location, but if it doesn't get too cold where he is, then he has an advantage.

Since I installed my 8 twist Shilen select match barrel (with an Ackley chamber) I can shoot the 95 Bergers just fine, probably the 105's and 115 DTACs too. Bearing in mind I am no-where near a full load since I'm fireforming brass. The MV counts too, since the faster it is, the faster the bullet is spinning for a given twist. So stability of my loads should improve when I reload the formed brass and up the charge a few grains.

Perhaps Beelzebub is loading really hot ? Might not get to 1500 bullets down the pipe in that case.... But that would be an awful lot of coyotes for me...
