222 rem mag or 223ai???

Starting to ponder on a 22 cf . which of these two chambers would be best?
My plans are to rechamber a stevens 200 223 w/1-9 barrel to one of these chambers, to be used for hunting in central Texas. critters will be Deer,hogs,coyotes,mainly. Plan to shoot the 70-75 grain bullets, at ranges to 300 yrds.

thanks in advance for the input

Re: 222 rem mag or 223ai???

I use a M700 with a 28.5" barrel 1-8 twist in a .222 Rem Mag for LR shooting. The rifle was a LR in .223 Rem originally; I decided to re-chamber and use the .222 Rem Mag case for the longer neck and picking up a little powder over all with the heavy bullets. I shoot 80gr Berger and Sierra Mk's in it, it's great at 1000 yards the accuracy is superb under 0.50" MOA at 100 yards all day long.

My load is;
80gr. Sierra or Berger
Remington case
Remington 7 1/2 BR primer
VV N-150 {26.2grs}
OAL 2.602"
Vel's 3020 fps

second load
80gr Sierra or Berger
Remington case
Remington 7 1/2 BR primer
Varget {26.5grs}
OAL 2.602"
Vel's 3025 fps.
