Tooley told me he only gets the cases that he uses to form his own creations--dont try to get 280rems from him

i guess he uses the 8x68 though so you are alright.

I read about a .257 STW that I bet would make 1K without breaking a sweat.

I'd imagine that by the time you worked up a good load in the 257STW you would probably have to rebarrel and start over again.
Just the right cartridge for retirement - if I ever get there.

The 257 Banshee was in the 93 Precision Shooting Annual Volume 1. Sleeved 700 with 30" Lilja barrel. 6.5x68 RWS case that was improved and pushes 85 gr bullets 4250 fps, 100 gr FB at 4000 fps, 110 FB Fowler bullets at 3800 fps and 115 Berger VLDS at 3800 fps. JGS did the reamers.

I shoot my 25-06 Sako (Regular Hunting Rifle) to a 1000 yds. No problem. Shooting Steel Silouettes. I shoot Seirras 100grMK behind 60.0 of H-1000. Just figure ballistics, dial and Squeeze. Hardest part is the Wind Factor.
