Awesome pic.
Yup, that would be a PRIME mule deer. He would fit in my crosshairs real nicely, and I'd even give him a free pick up ride too ! That's what dreams are made of right there buddy.
P/S, it's snowing again!!!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR .

Yep, He's a pretty little buck. Looks to be about 3yrs old. needs to grow up a little. He will be much bigger this next fall!

If you don't handload, they will also be offering the 175 gr bullet in the STW in the Trophy Grade line. They have them rated at 2900 fps.

Now, we just have to wait till they come out.
We can easily beat 2900FPs with Retumbo out of a 26" bbl. Handloading the heavys are the only way to go....

Eagerly waiting, until then I'm shooting up the Bergers and Sierras I have.

It is certainly going to be an interesting summer once they come out.

Even better is that this will most certainly push the other mfg's to get up on their game as well.

I really love the performance of the sirocco II bullets but the are about to be left behind.

With the inconsistent performance of the Berger bullets with respect to expansion, they too are about to be left in the dust if these new LR Accubonds perform as expected.

If they do perform as expected this will be an absolute game changer in the high performance and especially long range hunting bullet/ammunition game.

I know that Nosler loads are a bit on the safe side, as I feel they want to step on the 7mm Rem UM's toes. It is good to see that they are thinking of this round, as some others have left it for their Short Mags.

I feel that the 175gr should be able to do 3000 fps easy with the right powders. The 168 gr also looks very promising, and that is the one that I am looking at first.

I would like to see others get some good heavier bullets that would stay together. Swift, Horady, Berger, and Sierra might have to review their bullets. With these options along with the Barnes LRX bullets, the heavy and long range options are getting better. A Hornady 162 Gr A-Max IB would be really nice.
