Re: 7mm STW Brotherhood - For those who shoot the 7mm Shooting Times Westerner

Well I'm confused and need to go check my twist rate because the fellow I bought the rifle from said it had a 1-10 twist and he had allready done load developments for the gun and found that the 180VLD shot the best and had 100 rounds loaded up for it and included them with the sale. That's what I have been shooting and I can say they shoot lights out. But 180 is way more than I'm needing and would like to get in the 140-160gn area. I like the flat out fast velocity's and only need the 140-160 for white tails.

Guess we are not having ribs for dinner with that hit.

Glad to hear that the Barnes bullets are working out. Those are the ones that I hope will shoot good for me when I get a chance to start reloading for both the guns.

Sounds like very good performance from the guys that have used the LRX bullets so far. I think I'll try them as soon as my Accubonds are gone.

I will be using RL25 and Fed GM 215 primers. These bullets will be going down a Lija 28" tube with 1-10 twist. I hope she likes these pills and can give some flat shooting velocities. Let the games begin. Thanks in advance for all the help and info.
Oglebuck, Blacksheep just re quoted my 145 LRX load, and I can tell you it smokes deer. My velocity runs at 3440 ave and I used it just last week. My shot was only at 292 yards, but that deer dropped as if hit with lightning. The accuracy is incredible as well. Try it, you'll like it.

Thanks Bro' Bean for the photo up. And Oglebuck, here's what the LRX will do for you. This deer was shot facing me with head down. Complete pass through, and a sort of " tunnel" through the wound channel. I must say, I am really impressed with the results myself. I had gotten some feedback prior to electing that bullet, and I'm glad I took the leap of faith.
