Re: Shooting today at 1000, 1200, 1300 and 1780 yds

Thanks. Remains to be seen if I can do it again haha. I will keep posting my shooting and post what I have learned from it. The mile shots were definitely a humbling experience. You had better be on your A game for a mile or more. If you are off on anything by just a little bit then you are going to be off at your target by a lot. I missed all three shots at a mile. I missed one shot by about two feet because the wind changed on me by just a little bit.

I am by no means an upper level ELR shooter as I have just started. I was in no way ready for what confronted me at 1 mile but you have to start sometime. I want to be effective at around 1300-1500 yds. And the best way to do that is to practice out further than your intended goal.

The most humbling part about all of it is that I wouldn't be doing what I am doing or have the knowledge about ELR that I have without all of you guys and this website.

And man it sure is fun!

Great job it funny until you shoot at long range it is no big deal and then when you do and start hitting what you are shooting at you can't get enough.
