My New Defensive Edge LRKM

Just rolled back in from Defensive Edge with my new LRKM.
Can't wait to start working up a load and getting her lined out.
Shawn did some initial testing in Hornaday brass that showed a happy load with 300 Bergers and an average velocity of 3192 fps. I have some Lapua brass that I feel will allow it to go 3200 with no problems. That remains to be seem though.
I have 126.5 moa of up travel zeroed at 100. If I get 3200 fps. I will be able to dial to 2980 yards with no hold over. That is the extent of my PLRF10 range finder. Worked out pretty good!!
Here are some Specs.
Defensive Edge LRKM chambered in .338 Terminator +P
Bat Action
32" Kreiger barrel and 5 port DE slab brake
Harris 9~13" swivel bipod with pod lock
65 moa custom DE rail
NF UL 3 screw rings
NF 5~25 x 56 ATACR with MOAR reticle
Here are a few pics.
Jeff

Re: My New Defensive Edge LRKM

Nice! I am sure that it works out well but since I and most have never fired one, how do are you able to keep a solid cheek rest while working the action. I'm sure it would be easily explained with a video but I Havnt seen one yet as these are so new. Is it a bit awkward? Do you have to move your shoulder at all to work the action? Looks awesome and will be cool to see the testing done. Paint scheme looks really good too.
I like how it makes a 32" barrel look like a 26" barrel as well.

Re: My New Defensive Edge LRKM

It is a single feed. So I won't be cycling the bolt while holding a cheek weld. I have lost interest in repeaters and have been using all my rifles in single feed form for a few years now.

Re: My New Defensive Edge LRKM

Yessir, I figured it was a single feed by looking at it. A lot of shooters like to keep the same cheek rest position when shooting so I was just wondering. That surely answers my question though. I have come to like single feeds as well. I have started transitioning over myself. Sure looks like you are going to be having a lot of fun here in the near future.
