Re: Cutting Edge 425/13-6.5 Gain twist
KG, I fired the 350 SMK from a straight 8 twist, I didn't have any failures. Accuracy was around 3/4 Moa. They were pushed to 3200, 3150 seemed to be a moderate load.
I fired more of the 425s today, I had just mounted a new March 3-24 and fired two three shot groups at 100 yds. Both groups were just under .2 Moa. I backed up to 1770. The wind was 5 mph at 3 o'clock. I dialed .3 right and put 16.3 vertical. The target was a little round rock about the size of a volleyball. I was just using it as an aiming point. I powered down to 15 power, set the parallax, and fired one off. After recoil I got back in the field of view to see where the Rd would strike. Much to my surprise the little rock exploded. This rifle is the Lawton 8500 with the Bartlein 6-9 twist. The rifle including the March weighs only around 14 pounds.
I am really liking the March scope, I'll post a review in the optics forum after I have spent a little more time with it.
