Re: 1480 yd bull throgh the spotters eyes
Definately a trip my son, wife, and I will never forget. The rifle is built off of a savage target action and a Mcgowen barrel. It also has a bell and charlson medalist stock and a leupold mark 4 scope. I built mine and then helped him build his. Mine is also based off a savage action but a wholeness barrel and laminate thumbhole stock. Great rifles.

Re: 1480 yd bull throgh the spotters eyes
I used the lieca 1600 range finder and vortex viper 12x42 binos. The range finder was the best purchase of 2011. I have ranged out to 1983 yds with it. On the hunt we also used pocket pc's with exball loaded on them. A brunton weather meter and a Nikon Fieldscope spotting scope.

Re: 1480 yd bull throgh the spotters eyes
Best stroy I have read in quite a while. You guys got it going on. You all know your equipment and can spot and call out corrections so the shooter can concentrate on the shot and be ready like he was. Good wind call too!! I said it before and will say it here. You also chose the very best bullet possible for the job at hand.
Big congrats, way to stick with it and tough it out!!
Thanks fo the story,
Jeff
