I certainly do not want to hijack this thread about an awesome wolf target, but I have many frozen coyote stories.
I will keep it brief but my favorite story is one loaded with poor judgement. I was younger and will use that as an excuse! We set one up smack in the middle of the dirt road leading to and from a friends house. This friend was guiding elk hunters and driving to work, very early every morning.
We laughed and giggled all morning about his struggles to get this dog killed. Well we laughed until we found out that he had no hunters that morning and then our humor turned to panick as we started thinking that another female member of the family who worked in town, might just see that coyote in the road as she left the ranch, and try to kill a rock hard torpedo shaped block of ice closely resembling a coyote with her car! I figured that the nose was exactly about mustang radiator height!

Well it all turned out okay! Another friend had seen the coyote from afar and drove like a crazy man to get it killed before our original target individual could get it! He ended up getting stuck trying to park his truck to get the shot! In all his comotion he figured it out and relocated the coyote to his skinning shed!

Thats some good old fashioned fun right there... & pretty dern funny. I can imagine what most of the guys on this forum would do when they saw that 'yote! There'd be a LOT of stuck trucks. lol
