Given a period of time there will be a glut of AR-15 rifles for sale
by the "panic buyers" who never really intended to use one in the first place. "New" and "as new" Ar's will be easy to acquire and the prices will drop as their owners are eager to get rid of them.
The manufacture of bulk .223 ammo will catch up and prices will be competitive again, while the "panic buyers" sit on millions of rounds that are collecting dust. Preppers are great for the firearms industry.
Just my take on things.
As to the original question posted: At $2,500 for a beat AR-15, I'd sell, sell, sell! Purchase a new one when the tide changes.
