Re: Want an AR15, what's the best out of box?
When you ask a question like that you tend to get a wide variety of OPINIONS. With that said, the only ones I have any experience with is the colt I was issued in the Marine Corps and the AR15 I built for myself. My personal rifle is a combination of a C3 defense lower and a Rock River Arms predator pursuit upper. It's very accurate and not that heavy. Before you figure in the price of optics it cost me right at 900.00
If you stick with brands of known quality, I suspect you will do just fine. Most AR pattern rifles assembled by the usual well known suspects will out shoot the nut behind the trigger.
JUST MAKE SURE YOU STAY AWAY FROM THE BOTTOM FEEDERS LIKE HESSE AND VULCAN IF YOU ENJOY INJURY FREE SHOOTING!!!! There are a few others but their names escape me right now.
