Re: SONS of Guns??!!
I've had 5 weapons built by Will over the years. He will do anything you need him to do and he is very standup about the quality of his work. Remember the show is a reality show and Will does not have control of the final editing. Personally I'm not a big fan of the production of the show but his gun work is really excellent. I'm just not a big fan of reality shows in general. He will do just about anything but his bread and butter is AK based firearms which he has a really great reputation doing.
This is a my Redjacket built AK102 (5.56x45) using the triangle folder of an AKS-74U with Russian handguards. I had enough all black guns and needed some wood.
This is another SBR Will built for me. Its a Yugo M92. Sometimes I feel I ought to put the ATF as a dependent when I do taxes. The $200 tax stamps add up quickly.
I had a few more built but those are some of my favorites.

Okay so why does he let the built gun on the show be cheap (his version of the CROWS system) or fake blown up cars, and the AK is a pretty simple weapon system with not alot of fit and finish

Re: SONS of Guns??!!
I just watched the episode of him mounting smoke grenades, M240 SAW and a MK19 AUTOMATIC GRENADE launcher on a sherriffs patrol boat. Is it me or is that a little over the top for a sherriff patrol boat? He also gave them about a 10 min demo on the stuff and then just turned it over. I would not want to live anywhere where a new kid out of the police academy is running down the local river with an auto grenade launcher. The other side is how much "homeland security money" got spent there..... seems a little silly to me.

Re: SONS of Guns??!!
not too impressed with the show-- yet I watch it. Last episode he put an intigral supressor on a 50 bmg and cut the barrel to 18".... doesn't take a lot of thought to figure out that cutting the big 50 back to that short AND drilling holes in the barrel back that far is going to reduce energy considerably. If you have a 50 bmg shooting at 2300 fps (his first try hit 2100), then why not just use a 338 lapua and be done with it?
If your in love w/ AK style rifles and lots of flash, then the show is awesome. If your into accuracy and range, than I think you will be dissapointed. I'd love to see him do a decent accuracy test on one of his rifles.

+1 on the that. I'm not a fan of the show, nor am I a fan of Spray-that-way guns like the AK/SKS. They do some interesting stuff sometimes. But so far, less than impressive.

Re: SONS of Guns??!!
My TV at home hasn't been plugged in for months, so I'm not current on what's available. This show was on the other night as background noise at work, and given the choice of folks working in a shop trying to make a living, working on guns, and some whiny diva in a bikini, eating bugs, back stabbing everybody else on some island. It's an easy choice.
