I've read a handful of reviews about the 4-16 having sub par glass compared to the 6-24... crazy I know. Compared to the several MK4's i've owned over the years, MY PST doesn't even come close.

I could be biased as i've been spoiled by the likes of Zeiss, USO & NightForce. If I have to send the PST back it will be for a refund.

Thanks, I am now between the Nikon M308 and the Zeiss Terra 3x 4-12 x 42. Which of the two would be better for both long rand shooting and various hunting conditions?

No comparison IMO..go Zeiss and you'll see more critters at dusk/dawn.

The difference in the Ziess mentioned is this: both have 95% light transmission, lifetime warranty price the same etc. The Nikon has 4X more power for long range shooting as you require and no scope caps to fumble with. I shoot NF on my AR's and my bolt guns but we are not talking about that kind of price. Either of the scopes mentioned will do the job if you do yours; hopes this helps. ART

I'm a big vortex fan. But, that has been a common complaint. Glass quality has varied greatly on the PSTs.
