Re: Let's talk Barrels

I am going to do an AR10 (.308) build in the near future. My barrel choice for that will be a Krieger.

Re: Let's talk Barrels

Since this is a bbl thread, any thoughts on breaking in a new bbl?

This is not a Krieger or any after market bbl. It is a factory 16" chrome lined.

I do have 39 rounds down the pipe.

Re: Let's talk Barrels

Last fall I bought a Colt LE6920 M4 and installed a Geissele SSA-E trigger and put a Bushnell AR/223 4.5-18x40mm scope on it and it shoots MOA groups. I killed 3 deer with it here in Georgia. It wasn't accurate enough for me so I ordered a White Oak Armament 18" varmint upper with a 1 in 7" twist and having it full length fluted to save some weight. I'm hoping it will shoot less than 1/2 MOA with my reloads. Everyone that I read on chat rooms say you can not get any better for the price.

Re: Let's talk Barrels

A fine barrel indeed. I have one as well and its easily a .5 MOA stick at any given time. I've shot in the low 3's with it.

Re: Let's talk Barrels

Thanks Joseph, exactly what I'm after, good information. I was strongly considering White Oak Armament . . . now I'm nearly sold.
