A 308 Win. will not fit in an AR15. Dedicated Technology and Olympic arms make AR 15 uppers in Win Super Short magnums. James

Good point.

You need a 308 pattern AR platform. There are alot of good ones and some not so good out there. There is no standardazition with the larger AR rifles. Here are some ideas that will fit in an AR15. 6.8spc, 6.5 Greandel/LBC, 30AR, 6mmturbo, any of the wssm lin up. this is just a few.

To add to this dedicated tech uses a heavier duty billet upper and a lot stronger bolt carrier. If I was to get one of those get the billet lower from them to match.

Ok , if I have a standard AR platform and I purchase a 6.8 spc upper - does anything need to be done with the recoil buffer ? 450 , 6.5 ?

You "might" need a heavy one like an H2 its better to ask the manufacture.
